National Transport Depot

The project involved the development of a 5.6ha block of rural land to provide a tailor-made depot for a local trucking business Powell Transport, who provide a distribution service to market gardeners across the country, packing their fresh produce and delivering it to the Port of Auckland for export.

The development required resource consent for earthworks, building platform design, concrete apron design, stormwater discharge, wastewater treatment & discharge and land-use for the operation of the business. This included the construction of a 5600m² warehouse, 760m² truck servicing workshop, an office complex, a weigh bridge, truck washdown facility, 6600m² of concrete apron and a large stormwater holding pond. TSC was the lead consultant on this project, providing Planning, Civil Engineering and Surveying services to obtain the required resource consent and then oversee the construction and delivery of the project on time.
